Customized Casting from a Remote Talent Pool
All Book Buddy Media projects are cast according to each client’s exact specifications from our large and growing network of professional, vetted narrators. Instead of asking clients to trawl through a huge list of headshots and VO samples to find a narrator who may or may not be available, BBM brings the talent to our clients. BBM provides custom auditions from a small, curated selection of VO talent—matching whatever identity, accent, and voice type required—reading from your title so you can select a narrator with confidence.
Author Recording Services
Sometimes audiobooks need to be recorded by the author themselves. BBM offers a suite of services for authors who want to record themselves from equipment rental to home studio consultations to remote sound engineering and post production services. Regardless of experience level, we can help you record a professional and amazing audiobook.
Pace and Tone Samples
Before recording the entire audiobook, a pace and tone sample is submitted to the client for review and approval. This 3-5-page recording sample allows the publisher, author, and anyone with a vested interest in the final product to hear and give feedback to the VO talent.
Two Rounds of Quality Assurance
All audiobooks produced by BBM go through two distinct review stages. We use the latest and most sophisticated AI tools available with robust human review and oversight in our first step of quality assurance. Pickups are recorded by the voice talent and incorporated into the audio before we do our second manual round. During this step, an experienced and highly trained audio engineer listens through the entire book comparing it to the text to ensure the audiobook is 100% accurate and free from errors, including mispronunciations, unnatural spacing, missed or added text, etc.
Customized Formatting
Upon the completion of the audiobook, the BBM staff will master the files and format them to your specific distribution needs. Files you receive will be guaranteed error-free (if there is an error we will fix it free of charge) and ready to be uploaded to the distribution platform of your choice.
